AVL in Hungary is seeking a Senior Accountant Specialist for an Executive position based in Érd to perform end-to-end accounting activities across General Ledger, Intercompany, Asset Accounting, Bank postings and AR/AP processes.
Tasks
- Post routine and recurring journal entries
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Handle intercompany postings and support intercompany reconciliations
- Support accounting activities related to accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Monitor open items and follow up on discrepancies with relevant stakeholders
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, including OCR, workflows and RPA
- Update SOPs and work instructions
- Support and coach junior team members in their daily work SSC-RDS_General Ledger_Cover
- Perform end-to-end accounting activities across General Ledger, Intercompany, Asset Accounting, Bank postings and AR/AP processes

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- 4--6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in an SSC environment
- Strong ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax rules and internal controls
- Professional level of English
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to resolve complex issues independently
- High level of accuracy, speed and decision-making ability in a high-volume environment
- Very good written and spoken English, C1 level
- Another language is an advantage
- Willingness to travel abroad
