We are looking for a mid-level software engineer to join our Canvas Career team in building intuitive, scalable web experiences used globally by educators and learners. Our primary ecosystem is built on React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS, but we care most about solid core fundamentals and an eager growth mindset.
Tasks
- Contribute to production features across the stack, working with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres.
- Build clean, accessible user interfaces (WCAG aware) and connect them to reliable backend APIs.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code (unit, integration, and e2e testing) and participate in peer code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to break down problems and deliver valuable user features.
- Assist in maintaining high service health through logging, metrics, and incident troubleshooting.
- Continuously learn and apply modern software engineering practices in a collaborative agile environment.
