The Business Unit Logistics Group Leader plays a key role in managing the logistics operations of the dedicated Business Unit and customer base. The position is responsible for the daily operations of the production planning and customer service team, as well as aligning customer priorities, production plans, capacities, and material supply. As a leader, they actively support and develop the team while representing customer and business interests as the primary escalation point.
Tasks
- Leading the production planning and customer service team, coordinating daily operations and task allocation, as well as supporting the professional development and performance of team members
- Supervising short-, medium-, and long-term production planning and logistics processes related to dedicated customers, aligning customer demands, capacities, and material supply
- Managing critical supply situations, stockouts, backlogs, and capacity constraints, including coordinating prioritization, allocation, and escalation decisions
- Representing customer and business interests, and acting as the primary point of contact and escalation point towards customers, CAM, and internal cross-functional areas
- Cross-functional coordination of Production, Material Planning, Engineering, Quality, and other areas regarding manufacturing priorities, material supply risks, inventories, and customer demands
- Monitoring the area's main logistics and business KPIs, forecasts, and performance, and participating in relevant planning and decision-making forums
- Coordinating new product introductions, customer issues and complaints, reducing obsolete inventory, and coordinating logistics development initiatives
