Cheppers is looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design, build and evolve cloud infrastructure for our clients and our internal development teams. This is a senior technical role that combines hands-on engineering with architectural ownership and client-facing consulting.
Tasks
- Shape AWS architectures and technical decisions for web applications, SaaS platforms and enterprise environments
- Lead cloud migrations and modernization projects
- Design and operate multi-account AWS environments
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/OpenTofu and Terragrunt, and AWS CDK
- Architect and operate containerized production environments on Amazon ECS Fargate
- Design and support infrastructure for AI/GenAI workloads
- Run operations for production systems
- Support sales and pre-sales
- Deliver AWS Partner-program work
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions together with clients, product owners and developers
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, implementation plans, technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Mentor cloud, DevOps and development engineers
- Stay current with AWS, DevOps, cloud-native and AI infrastructure trends
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering roles
- 4+ years of practical experience designing, building and operating AWS-based infrastructure
- Proven experience architecting and operating production-grade AWS environments
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services
- Hands-on experience with AWS migrations and modernization
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
- Strong experience with Docker and Amazon ECS/Fargate in production
- Python for automation, Lambda functions and tooling
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, deployment automation, branching strategies and environment management
- Strong ownership, architectural thinking and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English and Hungarian
