We are looking for a Senior Expert -- Technical Project Manager to lead complex IoT technology initiatives from definition through implementation and operational handover. The role combines strong technical understanding with disciplined project execution and takes end-to-end accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies and stakeholder alignment across internal teams and external suppliers.
Tasks
- Take end-to-end responsibility for complex technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and dependencies.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical workstreams with architects, engineers and delivery teams.
- Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers across organizational boundaries.
- Establish project governance, planning, reporting, quality assurance and decision-making structures.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, changes and escalations proactively.
- Ensure transparency regarding progress, milestones, budget, resources, risks and decisions.
- Prepare and facilitate steering committees, management updates and technical workshops.
- Coordinate acceptance, go-live readiness and transition from project delivery into stable operations.
- Manage stakeholders across technology, business, architecture, engineering, operations, security, procurement and management.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Informatics or a comparable field; equivalent professional experience is also welcome.
- Several years of experience leading complex technical projects or programs with end-to-end responsibility.
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional, international and cross-company delivery teams.
- Strong capability in project planning, governance, budgeting, resource coordination, risk management and executive reporting.
- Strong understanding of modern IoT network and IT technology environments is an advantage.
- Experience with IoT, cloud technologies, connectivity, APIs, device management or related domains is highly desirable.
- Experience applying Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Business-fluent English; additional languages, especially German, are an advantage.
