The Production Planner is responsible for developing and optimizing weekly production plans in a Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment within the automotive industry. The role involves capacity planning using SAP IBP, monitoring manufacturing performance, overseeing inventory build-up projects and safety stocks, and ensuring production execution aligns with company targets.
Tasks
- Create and maintain weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity constraints.
- Utilize SAP and SAP IBP for capacity planning and forecasting.
- Monitor and control manufacturing performance, ensuring compliance with production targets.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to support customer delivery.
- Plan and oversee inventory build-up projects, tracking execution and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Track and analyze KPIs related to production efficiency and plan adherence.
- Identify and implement process improvements in production planning and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production and supply chain challenges.
- Communicate in English with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Daily communication with other departments to meet customer requirements.
