We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/DS Consultant to join our ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation project. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and the core SAP delivery team to design, configure, and implement advanced production planning and detailed scheduling processes that optimize client manufacturing operations.
Tasks
- Gather business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable SAP PP/DS solution designs
- Configure embedded PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA, including planning procedures, heuristics, planning runs, and detailed scheduling strategies
- Design solutions for finite capacity planning, production sequencing, bottleneck management, and material availability
- Configure and validate planning master data, including products, resources, production data structures (PDS), and setup matrices
- Collaborate with SAP PP and MM teams to align planning seamlessly with manufacturing execution and procurement
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers on required system enhancements
- Support data migration, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover execution, and post-go-live stabilization
- Investigate complex planning issues, resolve defects, and support continuous solution improvements
- Deliver technical and process documentation, conduct user training, and drive knowledge transfer
Requirements
- English (B2/C1 level)
- Valid EU work permit required
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP/DS configuration and implementation, specifically with embedded PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, capacity constraints, and detailed scheduling
- Practical experience with heuristics, scheduling strategies, pegging, and planning exception management
- Hands-on experience with relevant master data, including BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers, production versions, resources, and PDS
- Solid understanding of integration touchpoints between PP/DS, SAP PP, and SAP MM
