We're looking for a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple teams, influencing technical direction through expertise, collaboration and strong engineering practices. You'll work closely with Engineering Managers, Architects and delivery teams to drive high-impact technical initiatives, improve engineering quality and developer experience, and promote modern software engineering practices.
Tasks
- Shape technical direction and engineering roadmaps across teams
- Lead high-impact technical and platform initiatives
- Improve engineering standards, developer experience and delivery practices
- Champion CI/CD, automated testing, observability and modern engineering practices
- Design and review scalable software and cloud-native architectures
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering Managers and delivery teams
- Mentor engineers and support technical capability development
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews and hiring

Requirements
- 7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience with one or more modern languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Go or Java
- Deep knowledge of software design, architecture, testing and modern engineering practices
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native applications; AWS is preferred
- Strong understanding of APIs and communication patterns such as REST, GraphQL and gRPC
- Extensive Continuous Delivery / CI/CD experience
- Experience influencing technical direction without formal authority
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working across global and remote teams
- A proactive mindset and passion for improving engineering practices
