As a member of the Board, strategically plan and manage airfreight, seafreight and project logistics activities of the entity. Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. Meet cost, productivity accuracy and timeliness targets, KPIs.
Tasks
- Strategically plan and manage airfreight, seafreight and project logistics activities of the entity
- Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are followed at all times
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Meet cost, productivity accuracy and timeliness targets, KPIs
- Preparing the yearly budget and the human resource plan of the activity
- Cost control and monitoring of expenses; approving payment of expenses
- Managing financial flows of the unit: invoicing, cost allocations; month-end close reporting to the HQ
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers, supervising their daily activity
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in Freight Forwarding and people management
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE
- Driving license B
- English (Fluent)
