The role of Pastoral Director in the pastoral sphere is entrusted to theologically qualified women and men with experience in pastoral care. In cooperation with the parish priest and the administrative director, they perform essential parish leadership tasks.
Tasks
- Coordination of pastoral care work, quality development, and provision of initiatives and discussion forums for the pastoral-theological reflection of work in parishes and pastoral locations
- Supervisory function (administrative and professional supervision) for full-time pastoral workers and coordination of basic function officers
- Substantive preparation and follow-up of parish executive board meetings, participation in the Parish Pastoral Council, and advisory role in the Parish Economic Council
- Care for the proclamation of the faith and spiritual-theological support of volunteers, in particular responsibility for organizing and implementing the introduction of pastoral teams
- Responsibility for public relations
- Pastoral tasks at the parish community level or responsibilities as a basic function officer will be agreed upon accordingly
