Principal NLP Scientist

Tasks

• Design and develop production-ready NLP and LLM solutions
• Build intelligent systems for text classification, named entity recognition, semantic search, document understanding, and information extraction
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and optimize modern language models
• Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and semantic retrieval architectures
• Work with structured and unstructured business data to improve AI-assisted workflows
• Define model evaluation methodologies, success metrics, and validation standards
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, product managers, and annotation teams throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Research emerging AI technologies and translate promising approaches into practical business solutions

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline or siginificant expereince as a researcher in the field of AI.
• 5+ years of professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing
• At least 5 years of practical experience delivering NLP solutions in production environments
• Strong expertise in Transformer architectures, embeddings, attention mechanisms, fine-tuning, and modern deep learning techniques
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and RAG-based applications
• Solid knowledge of NLP techniques including text classification, information extraction, semantic similarity, text generation, and NER
• Excellent Python programming skills
• Strong experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers
• Experience with data preparation, annotation workflows, and model performance evaluation
• Familiarity with SQL and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Excellent English communication skills
