At Primark, the Deputy Store Manager is a reliable partner in store management. You take full responsibility for key areas of the store, driving business results, and shaping the team and culture — with decision-making freedom and development support.
Tasks
- Support the implementation of the long-term business strategy in line with Primark's business goals and highest customer service standards.
- Make key decisions in the store with a real impact on operations.
- Lead and develop the team of managers and sales assistants, prioritizing engagement, results, and collaboration.
- Drive business results through strategic planning, data analysis, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
- Manage daily operations — ensuring the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly across all departments.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture (HR) team — including recruitment, onboarding, and development, working jointly with the Store Manager and the People & Culture team.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity — identifying opportunities and risks for the store.
- Manage inventory and resources — optimizing costs and ensuring product availability.
- Support local branding initiatives — and participate in international projects that serve the development of Primark.
