AVL Hungary Kft. is a leading research and development center in powertrain systems. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to oversee AP processes, lead team members, handle escalations, and drive process improvements.
Tasks
- Manage end-to-end AP processes for high-volume or complex accounts
- Review and approve junior team members' invoice entries or payment proposals
- Handle escalated vendor disputes, complex discrepancies, and unmatched invoices
- Lead AP activities in month-end/quarter-end close (accruals, reconciliations, reporting)
- Prepare and analyse AP aging, GR/IR, and other performance reports
- Execute payment runs, including urgent and high-risk payments
- Support audits and ensure adherence to SOX/controls
- Identify and drive process improvement or automation opportunities
- Provide training, coaching, and daily support to junior staff

Requirements
- College degree or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Professional level of English
- Experience in IFRS reporting or other international GAAP´s
- Profound SAP knowledge
- MS Office (EXCEL and WORD)
