Our partner is an innovative, artificial intelligence-driven tech startup looking for a new AI / Data Engineer due to expansion. The company is developing an AI-powered legal research solution that helps lawyers quickly and efficiently search legislation and court decisions, as well as answer legal questions based on up-to-date Hungarian, Polish, and European Union legal materials.
Tasks
- Design, development, and maintenance of scalable web data collection systems to integrate international legal data sources.
- Design and development of search and retrieval solutions used by AI agents.
- Creation, further development, and optimization of the agentic AI framework.
- Design and construction of AWS-based data processing pipelines for handling and managing large volumes of textual legal data.
- Development, deployment, and maintenance of production-grade AWS services using the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
- Establishment and application of specification-driven development processes, management of AI developer agents, and verification of the quality, correctness, and security of the code generated by them.
- Supporting the fast and efficient integration of data sources from new countries in line with the continuous international expansion of the system.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Python development with strong programming fundamentals.
- At least 7 years of Data Engineering experience, particularly in processing and handling large volumes of textual data.
- Confident AWS knowledge with experience in developing, deploying, and operating services in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience in designing AWS-based data processing architectures and scalable data pipelines.
- AI-native development mindset: intensive, daily use of AI-based development tools and agents during the coding process.
- Practical knowledge of specification-driven development methodologies (spec-driven development) and agentic loops.
- Strong code review and quality assurance mindset, with a particular focus on the correctness, quality, and security of AI-generated code.
