We are looking for a highly analytical, proactive, and business-focused Business Operations Controller to join our dynamically growing Regional Finance team. In this position, you will work closely with the Finance Principal and regional leadership in driving financial reporting, operational forecasting, business intelligence processes, and performance management for our Hungarian operations.
Tasks
- Independently coordinate month-end closing processes, ensure accuracy of financial results, and collaborate with the accounting department
- In-depth analysis of key operating expense lines, preparation of management financial commentary, and identification of cost optimization areas
- Conducting weekly financial performance reviews, synthesizing key relationships, and presenting operational dashboards
- Continuous tracking of standard KPIs and proactive recommendations for category management and sales leadership
- End-to-end support for quarterly forecasting and annual business planning processes
- Preparing complex historical trend analysis to build multi-layered scenarios
- Breaking down monthly sales targets into daily operational plans
- Designing, developing, and maintaining business dashboards on MicroStrategy, Excel, and Google Sheets platforms
- Developing targeted reports and metrics to measure the ROI of promotional campaigns
- Preparing complex ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making

Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in Business Controlling, FP&A, or Commercial Finance
- Higher education degree (BSc or MSc) in Finance, Accounting, or Business and Management
- Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Strong business acumen and analytical focus
- Proactive, independent, and ownership-driven work ethic
- Willingness to improve processes
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Fluent / business-level English
