The AI Solutions & Process Automation Trainee for Global Procurement & Supply Chain role contributes to the KOSTAL AI and digitalization roadmap for Procurement & Supply Chain. It supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of AI-driven solutions and process automations that enhance efficiency, knowledge management and digitalization.
Tasks
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI and digitalization roadmap for Procurement & Supply Chain.
- Analyze existing processes and identify suitable AI use cases to improve efficiency, automate activities and strengthen knowledge management.
- Develop, test and continuously improve AI-based prototypes and workflows, such as assistants, chatbots, automations and AI agents.
- Support the integration of AI solutions into existing processes, systems and data sources, including through APIs and low-code/no-code platforms.
- Track, evaluate and document AI initiatives, and communicate solutions and best practices through presentations, guidelines, training sessions and workshops.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering or a comparable degree program.
- Good German and English language skills
- Strong interest in generative AI, large language models, AI agents, process automation and digitalization.
- Initial practical experience with AI technologies and tools, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI APIs, LangChain or comparable solutions.
- Basic programming and interface skills, ideally in Python or JavaScript and working with REST APIs; experience with low-code/no-code solutions is an advantage.
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style, enthusiasm for sharing your own ideas
