MPower Plus is looking for an L2 Network & Security Engineer based in Budapest to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex L2/L3 network and security tickets, configure firewalls, and maintain network infrastructure.
Tasks
- Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex L2/L3 network and security tickets escalated from L1 support.
- Firewall & Security Operations: Configure and maintain network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Harden switch, router, and wireless configurations, manage VLANs, and apply security patches or firmware/IOS upgrades.
- Hands-on & Remote Support: Execute rack-and-stack, site surveys, cable migrations, or coordinate with remote engineering and data center teams.
Requirements
- Typically 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network and security operations.
- Familiarity with vendors like Cisco (CCNA/CCNP level knowledge), Fortinet, or Check Point, alongside protocols like BGP, IPv6, and IPS/IDS.
- JNCIS-SEC, NSE 4, ITIL, Juniper SRX/vSRX, Fortinet VM, IPsec/IKEv2, BGP, AWS VPC/TGW/VPN, and GCP VPC/Cloud Router/VPN
