Our partner is a global automotive supplier. Due to team expansion, we are looking for a German-speaking General Ledger Accountant to join their global finance team in Nyíregyháza, where you will contribute to general ledger accounting, closing activities, and German VAT-related processes.
Tasks
- Perform general ledger accounting and accurately record financial transactions
- Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and support their resolution
- Review balance sheet and income statement data and prepare financial reports
- Record accruals, provisions, and other general ledger entries
- Prepare and review German VAT calculations and reconcile VAT-related general ledger accounts
- Support compliance with German VAT regulations and relevant accounting and tax requirements
- Collaborate with international finance teams and German-speaking departments and business partners
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes

Requirements
- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
- At least intermediate-level German, both written and spoken
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- An analytical and structured mindset, with a proactive and independent approach
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
- Willingness to travel abroad occasionally
