We are recruiting an experienced Technical Specialist -- Public Cloud on behalf of our client, an international technology services organisation delivering enterprise cloud infrastructure and managed services across Europe. This position is ideal for a highly skilled Microsoft Azure professional who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, managing critical cloud environments, and driving automation and operational improvements.
Tasks
- Manage and support day-to-day Microsoft Azure cloud operations for enterprise customers across Europe.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure and production incidents.
- Support migrations from on-premises data centres and private cloud environments to Microsoft Azure.
- Design, deploy, configure, and optimise Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.
- Implement security policies, OS hardening, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor cloud environments, identify performance issues, and implement improvements.
- Manage Azure cost optimisation, resource rightsizing, autoscaling, and governance initiatives.
- Take ownership of major incidents, critical infrastructure changes, and technical escalations.
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Support team development through technical guidance and knowledge transfer.

Requirements
- 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or cloud operations.
- 5 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure operations experience.
- Strong expertise across Azure infrastructure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, VNet, NSG, VPN, and Load Balancers, Azure Storage, Availability Sets, Autoscaling, and Backup & Recovery, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, Azure Web Apps, and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform and ARM templates.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, automation scripts, and operational runbooks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, DNS, security, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or equivalent monitoring solutions.
- Understanding of disaster recovery, configuration management, and change management.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and major incident management.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtualisation, databases, or network infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with international technical teams and enterprise customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
