The ARSIS Social Organization for Youth Support is opening one (1) full-time Farsi/Dari interpreter position to staff the Mobile Unit and Information Center for the Identification and Support of Unaccompanied Minors in Thessaloniki.
Tasks
- Accurate interpretation of conversations between staff and clients without content interference and with complete confidentiality.
- Accompaniment and interpretation at relevant police stations for the identification of minors, as well as at other public authorities, services, medical facilities, etc.
- Accompaniment and interpretation during the transfer of minors to respective accommodation facilities.
- Accompaniment of the Streetwork team and interpretation during street social work or other intervention settings.
- Alignment with the coordination team's instructions regarding duties and adapting them to emergency situations.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Farsi/Dari (spoken and written)
- Excellent knowledge of Greek (spoken and written)
- Proven work experience of at least one year in interpreting with unaccompanied minors
- Communication skills
- Reliability and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure
