We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-paced Agile environment, working across modern data engineering solutions using dbt and Databricks. This is a delivery-focused role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building, developing and optimising data pipelines.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows using dbt and Databricks.
- Build high-quality, scalable and reliable data engineering solutions.
- Implement CI/CD practices and automated testing to improve development quality.
- Work within a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with engineering and business teams.
- Apply trunk-based development practices to support efficient and consistent delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processing, performance and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Proven experience with dbt and Databricks.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Familiarity with trunk-based development and modern software engineering practices.
- Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment.
- A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong technical problem-solving skills.
