Cavendish Professionals are looking to speak to highly skilled Senior OpenShift Platform Engineers with strong hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift platform engineering and administration, with deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container networking.
Tasks
- Design, deploy, administer and optimise enterprise Red Hat OpenShift container platforms across development, testing and production environments.
- Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on high availability, scalability, performance and security.
- Implement and troubleshoot container networking solutions, including Kubernetes CNI frameworks and OVN-Kubernetes architectures.
- Deploy, configure and support Cilium and Isovalent Enterprise for Cilium to enable secure, observable and scalable Kubernetes networking.
- Leverage eBPF technologies to enhance networking, security, observability and performance monitoring capabilities.
- Develop automation solutions for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
- Partner with application, security and infrastructure teams to ensure platform stability, compliance and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift platform engineering and administration.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, components and cluster operations, and Kubernetes container networking, including OVN-Kubernetes and Container Network Interface (CNI) frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Cilium, eBPF and Isovalent Enterprise for Cilium.
- Experience with network policies, ingress controllers and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Ansible or similar automation tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and container ecosystem tools.
- 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes-based container platforms.
