In this strategic role, you'll use your knowledge of legacy systems and cloud architecture to identify opportunities to modernize mainframe applications. Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world's MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission.
Tasks
- Define, assess, and prioritize modernization roadmaps taking into account cost and risk.
- Design cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products.
- Provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is aligned with business requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation surrounding the software architecture, application design processes, component integration, and testing guidelines.

Requirements
- Architectural experience of large customer change and transformation projects
- In depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software including connectivity between platforms
- The Open Group - Master Certified Architect (or equivalent) preferred
- Prior hands-on experience working in a mainframe environment preferred
- Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM Software Products as well as 3rd party mainframe software preferred
