The Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority is inviting applications for the position of energy efficiency technical expert at the Energy Savings, Monitoring, and Verification Department of the Department for Sustainable Development. In this role, you can have a direct impact on the quality development of the energy efficiency market while supporting the work of a professionally recognized authority.
Tasks
- Provide professional support to energy auditors and energy managers for the successful performance of their statutory duties.
- Participate in the professional inspection of energy efficiency market actors.
- Contribute to ensuring that end-users receive reliable, valuable, and practically useful feedback to improve their energy efficiency.
- Ensure the consistent application of relevant legislation and the internal regulations of the Authority.
- Verify energy savings achieved through investments and measures implemented under individual alternative policy measures.
- Conduct on-site inspections of completed investments.
- Inspection of a statistically significant proportion of the previous year's large enterprise energy audits and certified energy savings; upon request by the tax authority (NAV), official inspection of audits prepared for claiming the energy efficiency tax credit.
- Respond to customer inquiries falling within the remit and competence of the department.
- Perform the regulatory and informational duties of the department.
