Fulfill the functions of the hotel operations executive. Areas of responsibility may include the front office, entertainment/health club, housekeeping department, food and beverage/kitchen, and engineering/maintenance department. Jointly develop and implement departmental strategies with direct reports (department heads), and ensure the implementation of brand service strategies and brand initiatives. This position ensures that hotel operations meet brand standards, target customer needs, ensure employee satisfaction, and focuses on increasing revenue, maximizing departmental financial performance, and building positive owner relations.
Tasks
- Analyze service issues and identify trends.
- Develop and implement necessary decisions to drive the hotel toward its goals.
- Supervise hotel operational sales performance and budget.
- Review reports and financial statements to determine hotel operational performance and budget status.
- Guide and support the operations team to effectively manage occupancy, room rates, wages, and controllable expenses.
- Respond to and handle guest issues and complaints.
- Use the performance appraisal process to set goals and expectations for direct reports and ensure staff accountability for successful performance.
