The Accommodation Center for Unaccompanied Minors in Makrinitsa, Volos announces a new Arabic Interpreter position. The employment duration will be two months, with the possibility of renewal.
Tasks
- Facilitating communication between the center's residents and the multidisciplinary team through interpretation and/or translation into a language understood by each unaccompanied minor, orally and/or in writing.
- Facilitating minors' communication with public bodies, agencies, and local organizations they come into contact with.
- Providing translation and interpretation services within the framework of the program's implementation.
- Accurate interpretation of discussions between program staff and minors without any interference in their content and with complete confidentiality.
- Accompanying minors to various services when deemed necessary.
- Assisting in obtaining socially relevant information from the program's social scientists.
- Aligning with the coordination team's instructions regarding duties, as well as adapting them to urgent situations if necessary.
- Participating in staff meetings, supervisions, and trainings deemed necessary by the Organization.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Arabic (oral and written)
- Knowledge of Greek, English, or French
- Previous relevant professional experience, certification, or training
- Greek driver's license for passenger cars (at least 1 year of experience)
- Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, and internet services)
