Dexian Europe is seeking a Finance Accountant to be based in Budapest. The role involves processing outbound intercompany service billings, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, and reconciling inter-affiliate accounts.
Tasks
- Process outbound intercompany service billings and maintain cost-allocation rules in relevant systems
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities while meeting reporting deadlines and control requirements
- Reconcile inter-affiliate customer and vendor accounts
- Investigate unmatched or incorrectly recorded items, identify likely root causes, and coordinate their resolution
- Process netting and settlement activities for inter-affiliate invoices
- Validate transaction information and recognize when further investigation or escalation is required
- Build knowledge of the end-to-end process from source transactions through accounting, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting
- Communicate findings clearly and follow assigned matters through to resolution
- Support process improvement, standardization, control, and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- One to three years of relevant experience in accounting, financial operations, audit, controlling, or another analytical finance environment
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debit and credit logic, balance-sheet accounts, reconciliations, and transaction flows
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, organize information, identify patterns, and determine appropriate next steps
- Fluent written and spoken English
