An Application Support team of 18 people is welcoming new members to the team of a market-leading financial institution, using state-of-the-art IT tools on the path of digital transformation.
Tasks
- Classic L2 level support for business applications running on Linux and/or Windows operating systems, operation of live and non-live environments, application installation, version control (infrastructure operations are not part of the tasks)
- Performing system parameterization tasks
- Troubleshooting, isolation, and escalation to L3 level when necessary
- Supporting testing, performing operational tests
- Identifying and coordinating minor development requests
- Maintaining operational documentation and the CMDB
- Fine-tuning system monitoring (Nagios and Grafana)
- Participation in the on-call roster
- Participation in development projects

Requirements
- you have experience in operating applications running on Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems
- you are familiar with application runtime environments (e.g., Jboss, Wildfly, IIS, Liferay)
- you have already worked with database management systems (Oracle, MySql or MSSQL) and SOA-based middleware systems (TIBCO or similar e.g. IBM MQ)
- you have a relevant IT/technical education (secondary or higher) or appropriate professional experience
- you are a good team player, but also stand your ground independently
- you are open, proactive, and given room to implement your ideas
- you are flexible, but being in the financial sector, you know and follow the rules
- you have good communication skills and liaise with business areas
- you gained your experience operating applications that are database-intensive
- you are analytical and take joy in uncovering problems
