Our partner is a leading European financial group providing bank-insurance products and services to retail and corporate clients. We are looking for a medior or senior Mainframe System Engineer (IMS) with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience to join our team. We are looking for a professional who is proficient in the mainframe environment, has hands-on IBM IMS experience, and is confident in operating IMS Transaction Manager (IMS TM).

Tasks

  • Operation, maintenance, and support of IBM IMS systems.
  • Performing tasks related to the operation of IMS Transaction Manager (IMS TM).
  • Support for transaction processing workflows and related system components.
  • Execution of technical releases and system maintenance tasks.
  • Identification of operational issues, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.
  • Support for backup and recovery processes.
  • Close cooperation with the Hungarian and international teams.
  • Creation and maintenance of up-to-date technical documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a mainframe environment.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM IMS systems.
  • Knowledge of IMS Transaction Manager (IMS TM) operation and transaction processing workflows.
  • Knowledge of the z/OS environment.
  • System operation experience, particularly in maintenance, backup, and recovery tasks.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Independent, structured approach to work and good problem-solving skills.
