DB AG Hungary Branch is looking for an experienced and highly qualified Finance leader to lead the accounting, tax, and selected regulatory reporting activities of the Bank. The Chief Accountant will report directly to the CFO of Hungary Branch. This senior role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Bank's financial statements, overseeing financial closing processes, managing relationships with external auditors, and providing expert guidance on accounting and tax matters.
Tasks
- Lead the preparation and completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Own the production of the Bank's statutory Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement.
- Manage all corporate tax-related activities of the Bank.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax declarations and tax returns.
- Prepare, review, and submit daily, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reports to the Central Bank and other regulatory authorities.
- Determine appropriate accounting treatment for new products, transactions, and business initiatives.
- Make decisions regarding the creation, modification, and closure of General Ledger accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for statutory auditors.
- Coordinate annual and interim audit processes.
