We are looking for a Kontrolling Business Partner to join MediaMarkt's central team, supporting the business operations of the Omnichannel Sales area from a controlling perspective. We are looking for an experienced professional who works independently yet enjoys collaborating with various business and finance areas.
Tasks
- Coordinating the comprehensive controlling activities of the Omnichannel Sales area and regularly presenting results to the head of the business area.
- Continuously analyzing store income statements and supporting the development of measures to improve competitiveness and efficiency.
- Working closely with the finance area in analyzing net working capital (NWC), liquidity, and balance sheet.
- Preparing monthly forecasts and the annual budget, as well as ensuring their quality assurance.
- Continuously monitoring the budget and determining preventive and corrective measures in case of deviations.
- Actively participating in developing cost control and cost efficiency.
- Supporting business decisions by preparing scenarios and simulations.
- Actively participating in the month-end closing process: analyzing costs, accruals, actual and planned data, as well as accounting and business variances.
- Uncovering the business insights behind the numbers and formulating proposals for management.

Requirements
- you have 3 years of relevant controlling / finance experience
- you have earned a BA/BSc degree in economics
- you have confident accounting knowledge; IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- you enjoy discovering patterns and business opportunities from data
- you are proactive and agile, and not only point out problems but also look for solutions
- you think in processes, and continuous improvement comes naturally to you
- you are solution-focused and enjoy working together with business areas
- you communicate confidently — including in English — and presenting results to management is not a problem for you
