The Data Engineer role is focused on delivering end-to-end data solutions—designing, implementing, and optimizing data storage solutions, landing and manipulating data, creating data products, and providing product support. You will support a business-critical data analytics product used across Europe to model vehicle build plans to maximize profitability while strictly complying with EU and local CO2 emissions regulations.
Feladatok
- Design and build production data engineering solutions and pipeline patterns leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Migrate existing Big Data pipelines into the Google Cloud Platform environment.
- Act as an integral part of the implementation team from concept to operations.
- Implement automation across all pipeline stages to minimize development and production turnaround times.
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and summarize Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate proposed architectural solutions.
- Test, benchmark, and compare competing solutions, articulating clear points of view on optimal technical directions.
- Guide and enhance incident management, deployment processes, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate directly with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and architects to design, develop, test, and deploy changes.
- Identify and adopt modern tools and engineering practices that increase agility and delivery speed.
- Lead the large-scale solutioning and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms on GCP.
